When first washing a raw selvedge denim, you can set the color (indigo) to limit bleeding.

How to do it:
• Wash the jeans inside out
• Use cold water
• Add a bit of white vinegar and optionally a spoonful of salt
• Let soak for 30 to 45 minutes
• Rinse then air dry

Vinegar helps stabilize the indigo dye, which reduces color loss and transfer onto clothing or shoes.
